JHME’s Rock Camp Headlining concert is built into Rock Camp programming to provide students the immersive learning opportunity of seeing rock and roll executed professionally in a live context. JHME is proud to present acclaimed rockers Beach Fossils as the featured 2013 summer concert this July 24th at the Pink Garter Theater. Beach Fossils has released two full-length records and one EP to support national and international tours. They are known for their energetic, powerful stage performances and the live feel of their albums.

Beach Fossils is here by JHME student request and their own interest in JHME’s Rock Camp program. The band has just returned from European tour, to where they are again headed after their Jackson Hole, WY stop. Beach Fossils’ indie style is led by frontman Dustin Payseur’s passion for the spirit of “punk and aggressive” live music. Their most recent album, 2013’s “Clash The Truth,” was shaped around live drums and bass, and brings a progressive feel to the genre.

The July 24th early evening concert will be open to all ages, and the first 50 people through the Pink Garter Theatre Box Office will get in the door for $5. Rock Camp guest clinicians will open the stage for Beach Fossils, and raffle ticket and door prizes will be awarded from Rock Camp sponsor Warwick Bass Guitars and local businesses.
