JHME Afterschool!JHME-AFTERSCHOOL! pairs students with first rate music instructors to augment and enhance their overall school band and orchestra experience. This program was developed in conjunction with the Teton County School District, band director Tom Dunham and orchestra director Vince Gutwein. This extracurricular program is for Jackson Hole High School and Jackson Hole Middle School band & orchestra students. DetailsThe JHME-AFTERSCHOOL! program includes brass ensembles, string ensembles, wind ensembles and music lessons for all band, string and percussion instruments. There will be 8 or 9 weeks of ensemble classes per quarter based on the Teton County School District (TCSD) annual school calendar. Professional instructors will provide weekly lessons to evaluate the students' musical education. . Schedule2009/2010 Ensemble classes will meet from 3-4:30 in either the middle school band or orchestra rooms or the high school bandroom. Tuesdays - Percussion (HS) & Sax (MS Bandroom) Wednesdays - Rock (MS Bandroom) & Strings (MS Orchestra Room) - Brass - (HS) Thursdays - Flute Choir - (HS) CostThe cost to participate in ensemble classes will be $125 per ensemble, per school quarter which amounts to less than $15 per class. If you are interested in JHME-AFTERSCHOOL! music classes for your son or daughter for strings, winds, brass, percussion vocals or small combos, please contact JHME's Ed Domer at 307.733.3970 or ed@jhme.org, or download the form below and mail it in to JHME at the address listed on the form and JHME will contact you with details.
